Moses had 70 elders and Jesus had 12 apostles, but even though Samson was a judge over Israel, he never had a close friend among his people. Being a loner can be dangerous for anyone. Wise men surround themselves with godly people of ability.
The Bible records the incredible strength that Samson had as the Spirit of the Lord came upon him. These miraculous events should have been sufficient encouragement of God's call upon his life. Yet he considered the blessings of God insignificant and he became indifferent to the seriousness of his call. His decisions were of the flesh and soul, leading to chains of bondage.
